Dade County Busted Booking Records
A booking is the moment a jail formally takes someone in. In Dade County, that one event leaves a paper trail in several hands. Police or the sheriff keep the incident report. The county jail keeps custody, release, and photo records. The circuit court gets the case itself. So a bare request for a
can easily land with an office that does not hold it.
The Dade County Sheriff's Office and jail operation sits at 201 E. Water Street in Greenfield, per official county material. No public booking-search page or photo policy appears online. That silence proves nothing about what records exist. It only means you must ask the custodian directly.
Dade Booking Record Fields
Dade does not publish a live roster with fixed fields. Ask the custodian for details that identify one event. Keep the arrest time and the booking time separate. A city officer can arrest someone hours before the county jail ever accepts them.
| Field | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Name and aliases | Spelling used at booking and any known alternate name. |
| Arrest and intake date/time | Two different events that may occur hours apart. |
| Agency and number | The arresting agency, incident number, booking number, or case number. |
| Charges as booked | Initial charges. |
| Custody and release | Whether the person was held, released, transferred, or held for another authority. |
| Photo status | Whether a photograph exists, who holds it, and whether it may be released. |
Bond is its own thing too. It can free a person while the case moves forward, but it says nothing about how the case ends. Request it only if the custodian may release it. For case numbers, hearings, filings, and outcomes, use Missouri Case.net and pick the 28th Judicial Circuit.
Dade Busted Photo Requests
Missouri has no single statewide records-request form. Write a focused Sunshine Law request to the Dade County Sheriff's Office, since the jail most likely holds the booking material. Name the person fully, plus any aliases. Give an approximate arrest and booking date, the arresting agency, and any incident, booking, or case number you have. Ask for the booking sheet, the arrest report, charges as booked, public release details, and any booking photograph in that office's files.
- Use the Sheriff’s operational contact at 201 E. Water Street, Greenfield, MO 65661, or call 417-637-2312 to confirm records routing. The county-directory number, 417-238-2400, is an alternate county-office route.
- State that the request is under the Missouri Sunshine Law and identify one arrest or booking rather than requesting an unlimited database.
- Ask whether the office is the custodian, whether a photo is releasable, and the statutory basis for any redaction or withholding.
- Request a cost estimate before chargeable copying work and retain the request date, response, and any fee estimate.
RSMo §610.023 sets the clock. A custodian must respond as soon as possible, and no later than the close of the third business day, allowing for lawful delay with an explanation. A reply is not the same as finished records; a complex photo request can take longer. Copy fees fall under RSMo §610.026, which uses actual cost. No official Dade Sheriff booking-photo fee schedule exists online.
Arrests starting in Greenfield, Lockwood, Everton, with the Highway Patrol, or elsewhere need two asks. One goes to that agency for its report. The other goes to the Sheriff, asking whether the person was booked at Dade County Jail. These files never substitute for each other.
Dade Booking Law and Corrections
RSMo §610.100 separates arrest reports from investigative records. Incident and arrest reports are generally open. Exceptions apply, though. If no charges are filed within 30 days, the arrest report later closes except for its disposition portion and stated access rules. None of this makes a booking photo automatically public, closed, or deleted.
Missouri also polices booking-photo publication through RSMo §407.1150. That law bans demanding or taking payment from the subject to remove or correct criminal-record information, photos included. It does not force publishers to erase accurate records on their own. When a source is wrong, go to the original custodian first. A dismissal, correction, sealing order, or expungement order carries far more weight than a bare demand.
The official Missouri arrest-record statute appears below as a records-law reference, not as a claim that Dade posts any photo roster.
Statutes frame the request. Still, the Sheriff decides whether a given Dade record exists and can be released.
An eligible person may need the court route. Options include RSMo §610.140, the Missouri Courts' CR360 petition, or the CR145 arrest-expungement form. Once an official source changes, a publisher's free correction route becomes usable. Google's outdated-content refresh can update a stale search result after the source page changes or comes down. It will not delete the source page itself.
Note: A court clerk, qualified attorney, or legal-aid resource should answer individual eligibility and access questions.
Dade Busted Mugshots: Official Search
There is no single live site for Dade County. Instead, build a verification chain. Begin with the arresting agency and the date. Then ask the Sheriff whether the person was booked into Dade County Jail and whether records requests are accepted. Case.net supplies the court docket. Each source covers one slice of the event, and none can stand in for another.
- Identify whether a city police department, the Dade County Sheriff, or the Missouri State Highway Patrol likely made the arrest.
- Call the Sheriff’s operational/jail route to verify current custody or obtain the correct record request path. No official public Dade roster was verified.
- Search Case.net by name or case number for later court activity and disposition.
- Use the Missouri DOC Offender Search only if state custody or supervision is likely.
- Check news and secondary indexes only after the official routes, then confirm any result with the agency or court.
Custody state matters. A person just booked may have no web entry at all. Someone currently held needs jail confirmation. A released or transferred person may linger on an outdated secondary page. A sentenced or supervised person may show up in Missouri DOC, which is not a fresh feed of Dade bookings.
Dade Jail Roster: No Verified Portal
Dade County has no verified jail roster or inmate-search portal. Nothing turned up on the county homepage, directory, circuit-clerk material, prosecutor pages, or indexed jail content. So there is no posted update schedule, no public search box, no photo rule, and no count of who is currently held. The only dependable custody check is a direct call to the Sheriff or the jail.
Suppose the county launches a real portal later. Check what it actually contains first. A solid roster would list a name, booking number, arrest and booking dates, the arresting agency, charges, bond, court identifier, custody status, release or transfer notes, and some stated photo policy. Details from another Missouri county's system cannot fill the gaps here.
One third-party Dade jail directory blends Dade facts with Cedar County and Stockton material. That mixed jurisdiction is a warning sign, not a substitute roster. Stick with the official Sheriff route. Someone missing from a webpage may have been released, transferred, not entered yet, excluded from display, or simply not covered by any public portal at all.
Note: The Sheriff retention schedule sets minimum record-keeping periods, not a promise that a current booking shows up online.
Dade Busted Booking Feeds
There is no official Dade booking feed. No 24-hour list exists. No weekly rundown, no multi-day log hosted by the county. Without one, there is no posting time, photo practice, or persistence period to cite. The Missouri State Highway Patrol runs an arrest search, but it only covers Patrol arrests. It is not the Dade County Jail's booking feed. It also leaves out people the jail may hold.
The Highway Patrol arrest-search interface covers that agency's own arrests only. Read it as a state tool, never as a Dade jail roster.
That state tool helps when the Highway Patrol made or reported the arrest. For county custody, go back to the Sheriff.
The Greenfield Vedette's local-news section runs recurring Sheriff arrest reports and other law-enforcement stories. It is not a complete jail register. Articles can lag behind the event, lean on a probable-cause statement, or describe custody held somewhere else entirely. A story's publication date is not an official booking time. And not every report carries a photograph.
| Source | What it can answer | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Dade Sheriff contact | Current routing and a possible custody check | No public roster verified |
| MSHP arrest search | Highway Patrol arrest activity | Not a county jail feed |
| Greenfield Vedette | Reported local law-enforcement news | Not exhaustive or current custody proof |
| Case.net | Later court docket and disposition | Not a booking-photo source |
Dade Booking Custody Paths
The Missouri DOC locator tracks active state prisoners, probationers, and parolees. It takes names and aliases. What it lacks is a booking-photo field. A Dade booking can end in release without ever surfacing in DOC. A DOC result may reflect later state custody rather than the original Dade arrest or photograph. For a state-held record, go through DOC's Public Information and Constituent Services.
The official Missouri DOC offender-search page is here for the state-custody path.
The locator can flag active state custody or supervision. It cannot replace a Dade booking request or settle a local photo policy.
Federal and immigration routes each need a reason. The Bureau of Prisons locator shows federal custody, not a county booking photo. The ICE detainee locator covers qualifying current immigration holds and is no Dade photo search. The U.S. Marshals Service generally does not release prisoner photographs to the public. A transfer can pull someone off the local path entirely, so confirm custody directly instead of guessing from an empty result.
Dade Court Disposition After Booking
The Dade County Prosecuting Attorney maps the whole path. It runs from investigation and arrest to charging, arraignment, and probable-cause review. Hearings may follow. So may trial, sentencing, appeal, or parole. A booking record is only one early step in that journey. The court docket can later show something quite different: another charge, a dismissal, a diversion, or an amended filing.
Start with Case.net to find the court matter. Need copies? Contact the Dade Circuit Clerk for its procedures. The clerk's fees and mailed-copy turnaround apply to court records only. They do not apply to a Sheriff booking-photo request. Also remember the booking number and case number can differ. The arresting agency's report, the jail's file, and the clerk's docket may even carry different dates and wording for one event.
Dade Busted Mugshots by City
A city name points to a local access path. It does not guarantee a city roster. Greenfield, Lockwood, and Everton each have their own municipal contact situation. Where an arrest happened rarely tells you who holds the jail record. Confirm the arresting agency first. Then verify whether Dade County Jail took custody.
- Greenfield Busted Mugshots: start with the official Greenfield Police Department for its arrest record, then ask the Sheriff about jail custody and Case.net about the case.
- Lockwood Busted Mugshots: use City Hall to verify present police-record routing because no city-hosted blotter or verified records line was located.
- Everton Busted Mugshots: begin with current city-clerk routing and treat the older police phone as historical until City Hall verifies it.
The city pages do not assume a municipal arrest means a county booking. They keep the agency report, possible county booking, local news, and later court case as separate threads.
Dade Historical Arrest Baseline
The Missouri State Highway Patrol's Dade County Facts PDF lists 2010 figures: 321 total arrests, with 18 index arrests and 303 Part II arrests. Those numbers are history, not a current booking count or roster total. Treat them as context only.
For older records, the official Sheriff retention schedule groups arrest records, booking sheets, fingerprints, photographs, and biometrics into one arrest-record series with a five-year minimum. Inmate files must be kept five years after release. Daily prisoner reports carry a one-year minimum. Retention rules say nothing about public access or what appears online.
Dade Busted Photo Retention
Missouri law treats booking photographs as part of an arrest record. The Sheriff's schedule expects photos and biometrics to reach the Missouri State Highway Patrol's central repository. That sounds promising. It does not mean images sit online for anyone to download. A county-level copy, a state file, and a public webpage picture are three different things. Ask the Sheriff's office which one applies before assuming anything exists.
Older cases are a different story. The Missouri State Archives keeps a corrections-photograph collection. A Missouri State Penitentiary database exists too, for historical digging. Neither is a live feed for the Dade County Jail. For recent bookings, start with the local custodian and skip the archive.
Dade Busted Alert Registration
Don't expect an app for this. Dade County has no verified Sheriff booking app, inmate-search tool, or official social feed that posts a current roster. Missouri's real option is MOVANS, the Missouri Victim Automated Notification System, which sends eligible custody and court-status alerts to registered users. It's a notification service, not a mugshot gallery, and it can't substitute for calling the jail directly. The MOVANS information page explains how the service works.
One caution before relying on alerts. Notifications and jail booking records can update on different schedules, so verify custody directly whenever current status matters.
A May 2026 update from the Department of Public Safety changed things. Local-jail users must register again through MOVANS to keep SMS or email notices. The old phone line is gone. So is the VINELink app workflow for local jails. The notice adds that MobilePatrol and Missouri Sheriff Connect have no DPS or MOVANS affiliation. A search returning nothing may reflect jail connectivity, not actual custody status.
Dade Busted Mugshot Corrections
Always start with official sources for busted or mugshot lookups. A few unofficial indexes exist beyond them. The Busted Newspaper Missouri index and Mugshots.com Missouri index both carry identified Dade County sections. The Arrests.org Dade page shows no results, and RecentlyBooked's Missouri index lists no Dade section at all. Treat all of these as secondary sources. Their counts, photos, and timing say nothing about who is actually in Dade custody.
Found an error on one of those sites? Save the exact URL and any official paperwork first. Busted Newspaper publishes a correction route. Mugshots.com and RecentlyBooked each describe free correction policies of their own. Those are publisher promises, not government deadlines, and results are not guaranteed. Never pay a middleman to fix or remove an entry. Correct the original source, then use any documented no-charge publisher process and request a search-result refresh if needed.
